Mr. Magin Puig-Monsen is a founding member of Akin-Deko & Puig PLLC. Mr. Puig specializes in immigrants' rights and immigration, international law and consultation and general litigation.
Mr. Puig-Monsen practices includes but is not limited to immigrant discrimination, labor disputes, business, immigration and investment VISA's .
Mr. Puig-Monsen his Juris Doctor as well as his Masters of Law in Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution from George Washington University School of Law. He currently serves as an adjunct Professor at George Washington.

Jamie B. Rudert, Esq. joined Akin-Deko & Puig PLLC as Of Counsel in July 2011 and primarily focuses on Labor & Employment Law practice areas.
Mr. Rudert is admitted to practice in the state of Maryland. Mr. Rudert's Labor and Employment Law Practice includes employment discrimination based on sex or gender discrimination, age discrimination, disability discrimination, racial discrimination, hostile work environment; wrongful termination or discharge; unemployment compensation hearings; Fair Labors Standard Act; unpaid wages; minimum wage; overtime, and Workers' Compensation cases.
Mr. Rudert obtained his Juris Doctorate from the American University Washington College of Law in May 2010. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Florida in May 2004 where he majored in Political Science and obtained a certificate in Latin American Studies.
Mr. Rudert moved to the District of Columbia in 2004 and spent two years as an Intake Coordinator/Investigator at the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia. His experiences while working at Legal Aid inspired him to pursue a law degree.
While in law school, Mr. Rudert spent one year as a student attorney at the Disability Rights Law Clinic representing clients in administrative hearings and special education matters.

Ms. Simmons practices encompasses assisting clients in education law through advocacy, negotiation and litigation to allow our clients to accomplish their educational goals
Ms. Simmons obtained his Juris Doctorate from the Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall school of Law in 2004 and her Bachelors of Science from Johnson C. Smith University in 1999.
Ms. Simmons is admitted to practice in the state of Texas and Maryland. She has numerous years of experience representing students and the parents of students through the educational and administrative process.
